Greenfield Farm

Greenfield Farm is a proposed writers retreat and residency, set on the farm once owned by William Faulkner, where the University of Mississippi will grow, support, and connect a new generation of writers

  • The proposed site design for Greenfield Farm includes a series of residential cabins for writers, a community event pavilion, hiking trails, a solar farm, historical artifacts, and a large retention pond.

The design exhibits sustainable architecture through the use of the dogtrot style passive building envelope. The project preserves more than fifty percent of the existing woodland, adds prairie grasslands to the ridges where timber was removed, and captures stormwater in the valley retention pond.

Tree’s role was to develop the first project pitch deck that included a framework masterplan, site design, cost analysis, and brand identity. The package helped University of Mississippi raise over $3-million in project funding.
