Thalia Mara Hall Plaza combines public art, signage, and landscape to energize the building’s front plaza as a dynamic public space for the 2023 International Ballet Competition.

In 2022, Tree was hired to create “tactical urbanism” schemes for Thalia Mara Hall in preparation for the International Ballet Competition. The plan aimed to create design features that could be low cost to implement and make a big impact. The plan includes wayfinding signage, building signage, event kiosks, sculpture, ground patterns, and new corten metal landscape beds with native trees grasses.
